Build a useful office inventory
List workstations, chairs, meeting tables, storage and boxed files. Mention equipment dimensions and any heavy or sensitive items. The removalist needs to confirm whether the proposed handling is within their services before you book.
- Number of desks and workstations
- Storage cabinets, shelving and meeting-room furniture
- Computers and other equipment needing special care
- Items staying behind or going to a different location
Choose a realistic window
Tell the removalist about your preferred date and any building or operational restrictions. After-hours or weekend work is subject to availability and must be agreed directly. Plan around key handover and the time needed to make the new workspace usable.
Assign responsibility for equipment and records
Agree who will disconnect, pack and reconnect equipment. Back up your data and keep sensitive documents under your own control. IT setup, secure disposal and specialist equipment transport are not assumed to be included in a moving quote.
Label for the destination
Give each area or workstation a clear label and use it on furniture and boxes. Share a simple layout of the new office with the removalist. Confirm loading access, service-lift reservations, parking and a point of contact at both sites.
